Computers Upgraded in 15 Minutes

When we got a call from a local pharmacy stating that they couldn’t dispense medicine, we knew it was an emergency.

The pharmacist was completely unable to give medicine to her customers all because her computers we not keeping up with the task. Within 5 minutes of the phone call, our technicians had remotely diagnosed the issue and found replacement parts to get the computers up to speed.

The pharmacy computers were running out of RAM, a very common cause of slow computers when a heavy workload is required. Unfortunately, the fix was not so simple. In order to replace the RAM, all sales machines would be taken offline. For every minute the computer was being upgraded there was money being left on the table. For every minute it was not upgraded patients couldn’t get their medicine.

Home computer assistance for Greg in Port Melbourne

Greg called us to come out to his home in Port Melbourne for some general technical and computer assistance. Our technician was at his doorstep that morning ready and eager to take care of Greg’s tech needs.

Greg’s desktop icons had changed and/or gone completely missing as someone else had been using the computer. These icons were recovered and reconfigured in fewer than 5 minutes. The use of these icons is something we keep in mind the whole way through our service as our solutions are completely personalised to the way our customers want to use their computers. Therefore, as Greg demonstrated the common ways he uses his computer and what he would like to do with it, we added a few more icons and made them easy to find, that way Greg could complete all his computer tasks with ease.

Once the desktop icons had been recovered it was on to security. Greg indicated that someone else had been using the computer and that he was suspicious of their activity on there. Our technician showed the full history of the computer use over the time period in question in order to keep Greg’s mind at peace. As a result of this discussion, we also ran a security check on the computer to ensure everything on there was both trustworthy and required, this will lead to both the safest and fastest experience. Fix Wifi problems at home

Residential client was seeking support for slow internet and wireless connection at his premises. The symptoms were:

Internet dropping out
WiFi running slow
VPN interfering with the internet connection.

The modem needed to be constantly restarted and was an inconvenience.

After a short investigation we installed powerline adapters and made the connection hard wired. The wireless proved to be unstable at this property. We also organised an NBN upgrade as the old DSL connection was obsolete.
